PRODUCT END-OF-LIFE NOTICE
The Nordic ID RF series is an iconic family of devices, but it’s time to let new platforms take its place.
The old Nordic ID RF601 uses a proprietary Nordic ID wireless communication interface that requires a dedicated wireless network of base stations. No Bluetooth, No WLAN. Moreover, the Nordic ID RF601 handheld can only read barcode labels, not RFID labels.
In addition, the global component shortage situation and the continuous discontinuation of multiple components used to manufacture the Nordic ID RF601 take us to a situation where, despite of many years of success, we must discontinue it.
We realize that a product discontinuation may cause some inconvenience to our customers. In order to make the transition to new devices as smooth as possible, our sales and technical support teams are ready to help and to answer any questions in relation to our products and solutions.
And of course, if there is still some need to purchase RF601 devices to make this transition smoother, we will be still delivering those until the beginning of next year (see EOL timeline below).
